Emma has, more recently, been drawn to the idea of re-using something that has been around for many years rather than making something new, resulting in her “Composite” Designs.

She has been sourcing vintage mirrors, also being attracted by the qualities that only age and usage can bring.

The idea is to create a piece of work that allows the mirror to be enjoyed in an unconventional way. This also results in a piece that is, by virtue of the process, impossible to recreate so, therefore, unique.
